Artist: Rose Heiser I fell in love with art at a very early age. Many of my school papers were decorated with doodles and drawings - much to my teachers dismay! The small school I attended did not offer art classes so much of my early art instruction was self taught. After taking a course in commercial art as an adult, I realized that I much preferred to draw and paint my own pictures instead of creating advertising for someone else. My pieces are all created from personal things - places I've been, things I've seen, flowers I've grown, people I've known. I feel more able to express myself in my paintings when I'm working on a piece that has a personal meaning for me. |
